The sawmill is one of the most popular attractions at our show. We have had a few different saw mills in our past. One such mill was a 00 Frick mill owned by Lawrence Bretts.
Our current Mill is a Meadows portable sawmill. It was donated by its previous owner Kenny Monk from Milo, Michigan.
Typically the logs we make into lumber on our mill are donated by an actual sawmill operation that will run real production orders during our show. We prefer this method of procuring logs as they have been thoroughly checked for metal before we receive them. If a rogue piece of metal were to hit the sawblade the result could be disastorous. Ending in irrepairable damage to the mill or inury to a spectator.
