Stationary engines were used in the early 1900's in rural areas where electricity and electric motors couldn't yet be accessed. These stationary engines were used all around the family farm performing chores ranging from washing clothes to pumping water or even grinding corn.
The Darke County Steam Threshers Association welcomes all gas engines at our annual reunion. This includes all makes and models of all sizes varying from small Maytags to large Fairbanks Morse engines. We have a large shaded gas engine display area on our show grounds.
We vow to try our best to accommodate your display. You may bring as many engines as you wish and we will work with you to find a place for you to setup your display. As a bonus we will supply Propane and Gasoline fuels for running engine displays.
You are welcome to camp with your display. Some exhibitors enjoy running their displays into the later evening hours so if you prefer to turn in early we
recommend that you setup your camper in our camping area found further into the woods and away from the sometimes noisy displays.
Please bring your engines this year and join us for the fun.
